Torre Pellice Musuem

Torre Pellice Museum. I would love to give you a commentary but we got there 1/2 hour before it closed and so we ran through it as fast as we could. It tells the history of the Valdese. Much of it reminded me of my own LDS (Mormon) history including stories of persecution, hole in the rock, immigration, and survival. The spirit of the place was triumphant. If you visit Torre Pellice plan on spending at least 1 full day (2 would be better). So much to see and take in. I felt it an honor to come from such a heritage.

A few of my favorite things

Bike riding through the cobblestone streets of the old city in Zurich.

The clocks on the steeples,
and the bells ringing
from the cathedrals and
churches.
Kolby singing in the churches
and cathedrals particularly
the church in Ticino. Loved it!

The fountains all over Switzerland. The water is wonderful
to drink. The water pressure unreal. I loved getting my water served in a wine glass half full with no ice.

Grapefruit is my favorite.

Birthday Ship Ride

For my birthday I got a ship ride down Lake Zurich to a beautiful castle and a marvelous dinner!

Luzern

Luzern is a popular tourist city in Swtzerland. It is very beautiful. We ate at a great lakeside seafood restaurant.

Liechtenstein and Austria

We ate a wonderful meal on the Lakeside across from the Bellagio.

Castle of Pavone

The first place we stopped in Italy was Stressa,
where we had a wonderful meal, at a most beautiful
hotel/restaurant. We looked out into the lake to two

Bern

Bern is the canton in Switzerland from which my ancestors lived. I looked through phone books and found many with the same last names. It is also where the headquarters for the government rests. Seven Presidents govern Switzerland.

Mortan

Three of the most charming men on the planet, who were wonderful tour guides, and who made me feel like a princess. We are in a beautiful little city called Mortan.

Friborg

Standing on the bridge and looking over on both sides was one of the most beautiful sites anywhere. This is such a tiny piece of the overall beauty of Friborg, Switzerland. We stayed in a beautiful hotel where the windows opened to face a huge gothic cathedral that had magnificent bells that chimed every hour.

I went to several little villages where the Moosman family was from. This is one where Christian Moosman was born. He most likely was christened in this church.

Swiss Temple

Rhein Falls

The falls were beautiful. We drove through Germany to get here. I traveled to 6 countries and I didn't get one stamp in my passport. No one cared that I came into their country but the United States when I came home.

Our Jace is 13 going on 14 (July 3rd). He is the brain of the family and is currently inventing something great. He is the one we ask when we need to know how to spell something or figure out a math problem. He IS smarter than a 5th grader, after all he will be in 8th. He loves Wii, reading, basketball, figuring out math and physics problems, and reading the comics section and following the gold prices in the paper. His favorite shows are How it is Made, Mythbusters, and Who's Line is it Anyway. His favorite singing group is Moosebutter (you'll have to look that one up). He is a stud. He sets goals and works to accomplish them like none other. We all want to grow up and be Jace.

Hailey and Mikah

The best part of being 40 something (for Hoggan 50 something) is realizing that your little mistakes weren't mistakes at all. Mikah keeps us young but knows that we are ancient and loves to make the most of it by calling us grandma and grandpa in public. She has more energy in her little finger than Hoggan and I put together.
